New keypad install

I am going to install a new keypad, my question is there anything I need to do regarding the start code? I have the factory 1 2 3 4 now, do I need to do anything or will that code still work?

Code still works, be prepared to remove or loosen up the dash panel though I didn't realize it was a bit recessed in there till I got going replacing mine in my 2011. Good luck

Make sure there is no power to the keypad. Jump start switch and main breaker open.
