One of my fishing buddies has been working in Tabor City the last couple of weeks and asked me if I have ever fished the lake. I passed by it a lot over the years but never wet a line in it. I told him we would make a day trip there in the near future. Anything I need to know about the lake as far as water hazards and such?

In my former life I did a lot of business with a big company that had a plant in Tabor City. A few of the guys there did a lot of bream fishin there and I saw pics of some good ones but that’s bout all I have ... didn’t answer you question but at one time it appeared to have some fish in it. They have a week night tournament a couple times a month. Sometimes a big bag gets it, a week or two ago a one pound-ish one fish bag won. I've never fished it myself but know some guys that do.
