MK Ultrex switch problem

I am having a problem with my Ultrex turning on by itself even though the switch is in the off position. I first discovered this a couple of months ago when my wife says there is something beeping in the garage. I found it to be my trolling motor was beeping with the switch off. I now find that if you touch the pedal with the switch off the blue light goes on and the red light on the puck goes on as well. I believe it to be a bad switch (captain obvious). I would like to know if anyone else is having this issue and what the fix is. I know I can call MK, I just don’t feel like being on hold forever. Thanks. eagle521

Might be a loose connection on back of switch.

The on/off switch on the Ultrex turns on by disconnecting the wires going to the switch. If one of the wires is loose and vibrates to disconnect, it will turn the switch on. Fix is to check the wires going to the switch and tighten connections if needed.

I have a perfectly running Ultrex that I bought new that will not turn on any longer. Could the issue listed here be the reason?

That is probably a switch issue. Disconnect one of the white wires from the switch and see if it turns on. If so, you have a switch problem.
