    Which Hydraulic steering?

    My buddy just bought a 1990's 18ft ranger with a 150 Yamaha. He is looking at replacing the cable steering with hydraulic steering. What would be the normal hydraulic steering kit to buy for this rig? Not looking to overkill, just what the boat needs for normal operation.

    Correct! The Baystar is listed as a “max of 150HP” but if you read the fine print, it is not for bass boats. The hoses have a much lower PSI rating and can/will fail with high loading of high motor mounting heights.
