    new airmar tm165 30 degree cone angle

    Has anyone looked at this new transducer and compared it to the tm 150 for bass fishing application? what do you think?

    It is more powerful (600 vs. 300w). I would assume it is bigger in size, but I don't know that. I am running the TM150 and am very happy with it. The new one should provide better target separation. The new one I would assume will generate more heat too - needs to be in the water at all times while running.

    I respect TC's opinion of it, but I look at it this way.....in shallower waters, this transducer should show more fish around the boat.

    Dont use it for bottom structure id. Use DI or SI for that.
