prop question on 2019 mercury 4 stroke pro XS
Serial #2B648882 Mod 1152F131D mercury 4S 2019, Motor is on 2007 Triton 186 with 6" jack plate the prop I'm running now is a 23 Pitch tempest which was on my 150 XR6 and it ran great, Have the same prop on the new motor an is very sluggish coming out of the hole and getting on pad takes some time. Should I be changing to a different pitch?

If it has PVS plugs pull one and see if that helps, if not you can pull all three if needed. Also what is RPM at wide open?

I've had to drop at least 1 pitch on any two stroke to four stroke I've rigged. The 2.5 XR6 would have a better hole shot any day though. The 3 liter 150's make HP but have a noticeable less low end based on what I've seen

Be sure to check and provide your WOT RPM's and Water Pressure (if available). Those can be very helpful, when combined with GPS speed.

I have a 461 vs with a 19 150 pro xs and I turn a 24 tempest to red line. 28 seconds 0-58 fastest I have been able to run is 59.6 was at 59.4 with two people loaded with gear. Pretty sure it will turn a 25 but want to try a fury 4 first. I’d check your height and that the throttle is going wide open. Mine is set to deep right now at 3.5 p2p
