    2018 20PHX vs 2020 919ProXP

    Hey Guys,
i'm new to Phoenix's but have talked to a lot of guys who run them and have yet to hear a bad thing about them. I'm down to buying a brand new 2018 PHX20 with a brand new ProXS 4 stroke or a 2020 919 ProXP with either a 225 SHO or a 225 ProXS 4 stroke.

I know a lot of guys who have the 919 ProXP and absolutely love them. My only concern is big water capability being a 19.5' boat. I live in Columbia, SC so I fish Lake Murray a lot and Santee Cooper a bit. When the wind blows right on Murray it can get pretty rough and if I'm going to get beat up in the 919 I'd rather be in the 20PHX. I'd also like to be able to take it to some of the TVA lakes or up north and be comfortable.

Just want to hear everyone's thoughts on both boats and comments on speed / ride.

    Thanks,

    Cameron

I fished Lake Murray Big Bass event last year in a 919 and had absolutely no issues.

I fish big water every weekend (Lake Erie). While I'm sure the 919 rides just fine, I went with the 920. I've also had my 920 on small lakes doing some dock fishing. It's nimble and super easy to maneuver in tight spaces. If you can store/afford the 20 footer, go with it. You won't regret that decision.

Thanks guys! Test driving the 20PHX tomorrow as well as a Falcon F205 so we'll go from there!
