Didn't watch today. Anyone running the new trolling motors.

Seeing the shallow bite was definitely cool. I fished out of Clayton on July 29 and it seemed that the shallow bite was almost over but apparently not. I'd freak out if I saw those big fish in shallow water going after my bait.

I think they all the tours should use nets. If MLF really was about fish care i think they would allow nets so there would never be fish falling out of the anglers hands and flopping on the floor.

Does anyone know how chris Johnston ended up with only 15 lbs when basstrack had him around 20lbs and I watched him cull a near 4 lb fish on live? Was he late to weigh in? Dead fish penalties?
"Any pizza is a personal pizza if you believe in yourself"
It was Cory Johnston, not Chris.
His day went like this:
- boat troubles at blast off
- was lent a boat by Brad MacMillan (Bass Cat X-Zone )
- trolling motor was only held on by one bolt and it fell off when he first went to use it
- sonar time was set an hour off before he realized it was time to go
- got back 7 minutes late
22.5 lbs (7th place) - 7 lbs = 15.5 lbs (60th place)
He said it was the worst day of fishing in his life. Freakin' heartbreaking.
There goes AOY as he was 1 point right behind Scott Canterbury in the standings before today. He lost a pile of points (59 instead of just 5), but Chris took up the Johnston banner and moved up to 3rd in AOY, 29 points back.

Catching northern smallmouth on these waters is far and away my favorite fishing. It’s so much fun. That being said it makes for a crappy tv show. As much as love to catch them, when they’re fishing for them on a show I usually can’t Keep my attention to it. I don’t care how big they are.
REALLY??!!
Common' up here. I'll show you 'boring' when you feel a tiny tick, sweep the rod, and then have a 6 lb football going postal on the end of your 6# leader. This is not 'winch fishing', and takes a certain amount of skill to land these pigs.
I never get tired of it.

He did kinda throw them under the bus.
River is putting on a show
Hardly anybody drop shotting like the usual complaint is on here. Hell Kennedy is using a giant glide bait to find em. Carolina rigs, hair jigs, crankbaits, swimbaits. Doesn't seem very boring to me
