Headed to Neely Henry for the first time next week. Any local tips or advice for greens or spots appreciated!

You need an accurate map chip. You can get in trouble quickly there. It's the Coosa River, if you think you are fishing shallow, you are not fishing shallow enough.

Good ledge fishing down near the dam. Good points to drop a jig or worm down and let it fall ...and fall. Good size spots to get a hold of too. As mentioned earlier, better have your mapping card in your graph, the channel does have it twist and turns and if you get out of it, you will run aground or into some treetops.

It is not Lake Weiss bad but you do need to stay in the channels. P-man71 is correct on the shallow part. Lots of spots running around too so bring a shakey head. If it is sunny, hit the docks. If cloudy, try grass near the channel with something white.

Right now with the 100 degree temps, no Coosa River lake is doing very well.
