remote mounted battery charger (off boat)

At one time there was a post a guy did about a modification of removing the battery charger, mounting it on the wall and then just plugging it in to a receptacle on his boat instead of having it permanently mounted in the boat. Lost the weight and beating on the charger. Any help in finding that post would be appreciated. Thanks

Rick that was me. I moved that turd out of the boat years ago and helped some local guys do there's too.
I sent the design to the charger OEM and they "said" it was a sound modification and would consider making a unit like that if there was enough demand. I don't think it will ever happen. The planned obsolescence of that charger includes getting the crap beat out of it onboard along with limited heat dissipation in the service well area is eliminated when it's hung on the wall.
