    Got an Ultrex today

    I got it on a really good trade. It did not come with a heading sensor. Is the sensor really necessary? I am not a tourny fisher, just like to get out on Bull Shoals a couple times a week. Also, I don't have a connector for my Garmin 73sv yet. Can I wire the Garmin transducer down the shaft like normal?

    The Minnkota Heading Sensor's main function is for the Jog feature. GPS has to know where left/right/forward/rearward is.

    When I swapped my Ultrex to a different boat, the heading sensor got Benched! Works just fine .

    Autopilot also won't work. I use it a lot.

    Also heading lock. The N button on the pedal and remote.
