Two of my brush guns are levers, both Marlins in 35 Remington and 375 Winchester.

When I had my 94, you had to shoot flat nose 30-30 bullets, now I've read that they came up with a safe pointed bullet with better ballistics to use, anyone using these cartridges, do they work?

Hornady FTX, or Leverevolution, I believe. I have no experience with the 30-30.

Personally I hate the ftx bullet. Have had poor results with it on deer and hogs. I stated personally, there will be lovers and haters of all bullets. Me, I hate it.

I was using them in the Hornady 450 Bushmaster black, and I had the same experience. I am now hand loading Barnes XPB's.

Barnes are wicked, they are the only bullet I deer hunt with. 243, 7remmag, 10mm, muzzleloader, they are death to deer!

My 30A loves the LeverEvolution ammo. Shoots small groups, and I took a doe at 150 yards with it a few years ago. Complete pass through with massive internal damage, and she fell within sight.
