    Ranger emergency key connection question

I don't want to mess anything up so I am asking before I try out the emergency key. Which plug do I connect the emergency key to to start the outboard? On the back of my keypad there are two smaller plugs that are identical with 6 pins each. One is close to the start/stop buttons, the other near the livewell/accessory buttons. Thanks in advance.

Are you sure they are identical? Should be difference in the pin placement and/ or number.

I think I figured it out. Both plugs on the back of the keypad look identical however in the center of each there is a little plastic nub, one is solid, the other one has a slot and is slightly larger. I am not near my boat so I will have to wait a week to find out however if anyone knows for sure I would appreciate you letting me know.

I believe you are correct in that only one of the plugs will fit into
the key switch. You will not be able to run all your accessories with
the switch plugged in. Good luck

Are the emergency keys available thru Ranger? I’ve got a spare key pad, but would like a key just in case.
There’s no use being stupid if you’re not willing to show it off.

Most Ranger dealers carry them as well.
