    new merc 4s

    So are the new merc 4s making oil like the sho any issues with that trying to decide which way to go.

    My 200 v8 doesn’t make oil. It gets run hard tho and very little trolling with it

    nope no oil rise at all. 80 hours. I did break in in spring too. was barely above freezing

    Serviced many and haven't seen 1 that made oil.

    Should not be a problem when properly broken in, and run with the CORRECT oil level.

    Have 2 Verado 300 22 hour each. No sign of making oil.

    Believe the issue with the hammer is the ceramic sleeves, too hard to get the rings to seat in!!!

    I have a friend that is a local bass guide here in Tennessee. He now has close to if not over 500 hrs. on his new 4 stroke without an issue. He had told me he's owned all makes of engines and the new 4 Stroke Mercury is by far the best one he has owned.
