    Boat buckle transom tie downs

Has anyone added boat buckles to a mid 90s trailer. I bought some and would like to see some pics of how you did it.

I don't have good pics, but I have them and they rock. I think I had to use some 90 degree angle adapters from the hardware store. here is a pic, just not up close.

Thanks, I was going to bend up some steel flat stock and do the same.

I just mounted mine in the hole that is there for the original tie down. It sits perpendicular to the back of the boat, but works great. Not my boat below, but similar orientation.

I did mine exactly like the pic in Lagniappe's post. They work great. The hardware with them sucked though. Get better bolts and nuts.

Seems like on the Ranger my dad used to have they were removable. I think I remember taking them off before we launched. These only came with a bolt and nut to bolt direct.

Right, you bolt it to the trailer then just strap the boat down. No worries about losing them, etc. I have mine mounted to the original tab on the trailer (01 187), works great.
