    Ultrex bouncing while trailering

So just bought a new Skeeter and had the Ultrex installed, when I am trailering my boat to the lake it seems like the Head of the Ultrex is constantly bouncing or shaking while driving down the road even when the road is smooth or recently paved. Is this normal or is there anything i can do to essentially stop that from happen. (T-H Marine Troll Tamer?) any input is appreciated. thanks all.

There is a TH Marine Troll Tamer for sale in the Misc. section of the Swap and Sell forum. I too think this is the best solution.

Starting from the ground working up, but are the wheels & tires balanced? Sadly, not always a standard thing on new trailers.

I thought of the troll tamer also but wasn’t sure if that would be worth it or would really be worth my money as it was only happening while trailering. I have been told that trailer tires don’t need to be balanced due to them bouncing around and becoming unbalanced. Is there any truth to that or should that be my next step?

Just my take on trailer tire balancing: Like I said before...starting from the ground up. If trailer tires are not balanced yes they bounce around and wear out much faster. Bouncing around they put more stress on bearings, axels, springs, bushings, and all connection points, not to mention that noticeable investment riding on top of the trailer. I can't say unbalanced tires are making your TM bounce, but I would start there. There are also other balancing solutions that are made to work with changes in your tires.

You may want to research road force balancing. There is no one solution, but this is a proven Engineering concept.
BTW: All tires on new cars are road force balanced, they can’t afford to have any vibration or tire noise.

They try to not balance trailer tires all the time because they think we won't feel it, they don't want a tire to last as long as it can so they can sell you more in time. Or they are just old and dumb.

    They need to be balanced.

Check out Dyna Beads for dynamic tire balancing. Had the same "bouncing" problem and a couple ounces of dyna beads in each tire smoothed out the ride.
