    25 Mercury 1999 model question

    Serial number 0D209370

Anyone help get the part number for full water pump KIT. Never changed all and want to do more than just impeller this time. Tried to put in my serial number in merc parts and all it says is loading (so far waited 10 minutes to load). I don’t think it is going through to load on my end.

    Thanks in advance.

Mine shows 99157A2 (water pump repair kit)

Just a heads up. You do know about the shift shaft latch/lock under the power head?? It needs to be released in order to drop the lower unit.

It has been a while since I’ve done this engine. Any good diagrams or helpful hints on the shift shaft removal?

Been thinking and seems I do remember something. I will try to look up information. May have given me trouble before because hard to get to. I will get me some longer nose pliers this time.

Also so when I place 991572A into merc parts it was now 99157T2. Think this is the same kit just changed numbers?

Here's a You Tube video on how to remove the shift shaft linkage lock and the lower unit.
