    depth readout issues

    i have a 997c and i have having depth reading issues. when i turn it on it reads and shows the depth fine. then after a few minutes it shows the depth on the screen but the readout will be 10-15 more. also when i get shallow it doubles the display. i have tried a hard reset and also reseting defaults. anyone have any ideas. i know this unit is old but just trying to get through the year with it. thanks

    Can try setting max depth closer to actual depth. Allow some buffer amount in case you go into deeper water.
