    Evinrude 225 looper on a 19ft sprint 296 pri

New to the forum, made an account specifically for this question, searches provided no solid results. pretty cut and dry so this is what I’ve got and I need some professional opinions regarding the idle and mid range air bleed jets. Jets are as follows:
    #1 cyl has 30 I, 30 Mid. #2 same.
    #3 cyl 30 I, 64 mid. #4 same.
    #5 cyl 64 I, 64 mid #6 same.
    mains are all 67d

engine runs okay as is and starts/idles fine, but it’s not right. Engine temps stay approximately 130.

    Thank you-vj.

What about the model tag on the left side of the midsection?

The powerhead has been swapped. Can we not simplify the arrangement for the air bleed jets? Does what I have sound pretty close or is it way out? Like I said I can’t find any info on what other guys are running. Will someone with a 225 looper please respond with their air bleed sizes so I have a foundation as to where I’m at. I have a service manual but everyone goes against the carb settings from what I’ve seen. I don’t want a melt down. I’m probably just being over cautious honestly. I’m a certified tech for caterpillar so I do have a small amount of knowledge. Please and thank you.

Still need a model number,,,that would simplify a lot of things. Even if it is just a swap/replacement powerhead and same as original, model number is needed.

#5 and #6 Idles need to be 30s, move them up to #1 and #2. Should be 30's in all idles and 64's in all the mids. Motor appears to be around a 1993 after 1994 the idle changed to adjustable idles.

lf you can take a picture of the block that would help ID the motor or if you can post a part number off of the cylinder head that would help also.

Thank you championman. I’ll get out to the lake and swap them around this week and snap a few pics of the engine. Until then...

Alright fellas, I got her out of the pond just now. I’m gonna do a fresh water pump kit, new temp gauge assembly and swap the offices around per championman. I’ll report back once I get that finished. Cheers.

Stupid question but how do I add a picture? It says it’s too large, should I/how do I edit it? I have an iPhone. Not a laptop. I can use a laptop if needed. BBC needs an app.
