    Balancing checkbook

The software my wife used for 15 years to balance our checkbook crashed. She is old school and likes to balance every month. Is there a free or cheap program that we can get. I don't want to pay for another Quickbook.

I write maybe a couple of checks a year. Everything is online for me now. Now if the bank crashes I am screwed.

There are some free downloads available. However, I would not trust any free download with my financial information. I'd shell out the 30-50 bucks for quicken to be on the safe side.

My bank (PNC) has an app that will show all my accounts and activity. I don't write a lot of checks, but I get notified each time of a purchase via text message and email. I just check it every day at my convenience to see if anything looks out of place.

    Works great for me.

USAA app and checkbook app...I know the exact balance 24/7. Pay all but one bill electronically. Write one check to my yard guy. He doesn’t do electronic.

I think I can download all activity from the bank to excel. That would be all you need just to balance every month.

What’s a check book? What’s a check? Something that I get digitally every other week from my work....seriously though my wife does ours all on line.
