3d update 19.1, dont do it!

It sucks. Worst I've ever experienced. Although the images are good in less than 20 ft it blacks out around 28. Oversensitive contrast is the worst. Takes constant correction to be useable. There is no noise filters and it is super sensitive to interference.
My 3n1 is alot better but still suffers from contrast issue. Auto contrast does little or nothing. I'm a long time user and I'm just scratching my head.

dang it, not wanting to see this. Just updated my carbons to latest, and just added a SS3D unit/ducer but haven't been able to get out to try it yet.

Just to be clear, this is the head unit update, or an update for the 3D box? I didn't know the box could be updated if that is the case.

This just further exemplifies the problems that version 19.1 update has with the 3d transducer. Some people are fortunate to still have 18.3...wonder if Lowrance is going to address the situation?

For the people who have updated and are having issues...feel your pain.

I want to go back too. Either that or I'm pulling it out. It's useless unless you constantly change contrast. Very disappointing along with the livesight hoax. I know why they named it active imaging. Because you will be actively working the contrast to even get an image. It has nothing to do with my set up. Wth?

I found the 18.3 on my computer so went back. Next time out I'll compare. Whew. Happy I still had it.

I too fell into this trap. Is it the 19.1 update for the head unit or the latest s/w update for the SS3D box? thanks

19.1 has been great on my units.

A little adjustment here and there, but folks have been calling for more capability and range of adjustment on SS for years.

I still have 18.3, I could try to attach it to an e-mail if someone has no other options.

If you have Google Drive, Dropbox, or some type of cloud service you can copy it to there and then send a link to anyone to download it......

    OK,

I have both old versions, one for the Carbon actual units themselves, and I also have the SSD older version. If you have updated the SSD units, you don't need to go back to the older version, if you backward flash to 18.3 the SSD works just fine with the 18.3 version, zero issues.

Here is the Dropbox link to the two older files. Remember one is for the SSD and one is for the Carbon, the RIW ending filename is for the SSD, the UPD ending filename is for the Carbon.
