2001 Nitro 929 with Sea Star Hyd Steering

Not sure I'm asking in right location, but here goes:

My hydraulic steering seems to be slipping or something. Not on plane it turns fine left or right.

Once on plane, sometimes, but not always, there is a delayed reaction in turning. Sometimes it causes the boat to make hard turns after not responding to initial steering input. Needless to say this is very puckering to say he least.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Jeff

Could be low on fluid or air in the system, If you go to sea star site will explain how to refill and bleed the system.

I agree, it is low on fluid. Should be able to just add and be fine unless it got extremely low, then you will need to bleed.
