    Accommodations near Marbury MD/ Mattawoman

    Can anyone please recommend a motel that you have stayed at with good parking/charging. Does not need to be fancy at all. Will be there week of Aug 19, I’ve never been to the Potomac before.

    Super 8 in Indianhead. About a 10 minute ride to Smallwood and 5 minutes to Mattingly Park which has a free ramp on Mattawoman Cr (no wake zone). Super 8 gets booked on tourny weekends, reservations a couple weeks in advance is almost a must. Boat friendly with an overflow lot. Call direct @ 301-753-8100 and you'll get a better rate than booking on line through the Super 8 web page.

    Smallwood State Park has cabins for rent. Haven't stayed there but seems nice enough.

    We stay at Bel Alton. It’s a good ride from the ramp, about 20-25 minutes. But the have parking behind the hotel in a locked fence where you leave boat and trailer hooked up with outlets. Old hotel but always clean and 60$ a night.
