What is too many hours on used Solix graphs?

Feeling the bite from buying a new Ultrex and Solix 15. But I’ve gotta do something at the console because I have older Helix units and I’m tired of messing with map cards for all units.
Local guy has 2 Solix 12 SI Gen 1’s for sale but they both have about 640 hours on them.
Are these too used?
Other option is buy another 15 for the console and call it quits or buy a 12 G2 SI for now and find a 2nd 12 later.
What would you guys do? All opinions appreciated.

Is one graph at the console enough?

Not any real meaning to the Hours. I would think Gen 1 Solix is about 1/2 of what list was. If it breaks you will have to pay the flat rate charge for any kind of problem no matter how small. The 12 is the same resolution as the 15 just smaller pixels. Bob

640 is not a lot.

I would go with the 15 Solix Si and be done with it. And yes, IMO, more than one unit at the console is a waste and nothing more than trying to keep up with the Jones

I put 650+ hours on my 'birds a year. I generally run them for 2-3 seasons and then sell them. The people I sell them to have never had an issue. I've had core series, HELIX's, ONIX's, and SOLIX's. 600 hours isn't a lot.

Generally users want mapping capability separately and sometimes separate graphs for a specific technology like 360 or maybe radar. Size and number of graphs may depend also on the available mounting provisions or capability for your boat model. The sky's the limit...and your budget...LOL
