I have never called Ranger that they did not have a part I needed. I am sure that it can happen but it has not happened to me. They also have had competitive prices. I have even called for parts on my 1996 Cherokee listed below and they had what I needed......on a 21 year old boat. Some boat companies do not do that. You will need your hull serial or VIN number when you call. They will have a build sheet exactly for your boat.

I was expecting problems with their service like parts ordering after the ownership change. I was wrong. I have dealt with them recently as this year and their service has been just as good as it ever was. You can buy the parts elsewhere but it's pretty easy to call them with your numbers and get exactly what you need. I am all for easy and quick myself. I have ordered replacement compartment latches from them before on other boats including the 1996 Cherokee.

Yep, call Ranger with your HIN and they should fix ya up. Those locks are no where near as expensive as the locks used on the “L” series boats.

Hey Panama, I assume that you are dealing direct with Ranger and not going through a dealer. What number do you call when calling them direct?

Sounds like n2ratfishing took care of you. Excellent.I have used 870.453.2222 also if I remember right. And yes, it's the direct factory parts. I like dealing with them. They know what they are doing has been my experience. Good luck.

    For future reference:

It looks like Ranger uses Whitecap latches. Excel uses the same latches in my BayPro, I added a few new hatches and a glovebox and wanted similar latches and there all be keyed alike.

Word of warning, all whitecap “T” style latches are keyed alike.

WEll, mine came in....... guess you gotta make sure you tell them you need the “L” shaped piece that turns underneatH the latch and keeps the compartment shut
