I am looking at buying a ranger521 vx with a 2005 evinrude 250 direct injection the owner says he get 57-58 mph at 5500 to 5800 rpms on a 26 pitch 14 1/2 diameter prop this seems kinda low mph for that motor any help would be appreciated
Has. 6 inch hydraulic jack plate
waterlogged hull maybe? or motor has issues.
He says sometimes the prop blows out
Is the speed gps or speedo. Sounds like you may have the motor too high prop to pad because it should be running 65-68+.
I had a 2004 225 H.O. on my 521VX with a 25 Tempest and would get 68 to 69 out of it.
2004 Ranger 521VX with 2019 Evinrude G2 250 H.O.
It should run that fast on 5 cyl.

The motor isnt the h.o just a 250 direct injection I dont know if that makes alot of difference or not
