I am 6'2" and prefer >7' on all my rods, but I am willing to give it a shot. Check out their facebook where the dude catches a 48" Muskie on it. WOW
I fish out of a 8' Outcast pontoon boat and a 7' will comfortably extend past the end of the pontoons.

Right in your price range. It also excels as a small square bill rod.
I have the ALX rod Also and really like it too
Recently picked up an Alpha Angler Slasher and think I will really like it
Just read the rewiews on TW. Excellent. I think the 703 would be ideal for me. Thanks for the suggestion. Too many choices. A lot of nice rods out there.

I'd recommend that rod too! I have a dobyns 704cb (graphite) too but for jerkbaits the daiwa 701 mrb is definitely the go to

Check out IROD. The IRG703c is an awesome jerkbait rod coming in at 7' with a fast action and $149.99. Also, they have an AIR series rod that is 7' with a moderate action that should work well for jerkbaits that is priced at 249.99 and weighs around 3 oz. Off on a tangent, IROD has been amazing . For the price point I haven't fished with a more sensitive rod. I currently fish with the Genesis II line (149.99) and will be getting a few of the AIR series rods soon. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Yes, that's the one I was referring to. It's perfect for a vision 110.

Thanks. I think the 703c is exactly what I'm looking for. I think I'd prefer it over the 703cc(Gabes Rip Rap Special. Great price as well. A lot of excellent reviews on TW. Like the aesthics as well.

I would put my ALX Twitch up against any of them.

    Loomis IMX PRO 845CBR.
One of the best JB rods built. IMHO.

I'm leaning towards the Tatula as I can get 20% off.

I've caught a ton of fish on my Tatula 701MRB. I actually own 3 of them. I also use it to thrown my lighter spinner baits and shallower cranks.
