There's still several possible typos in the specs for the Mega units ...

    The 9 and 10 don't even show the 1200 ... but at least the 12 G2N now shows the same XM 9 20 MSI T as the 9 G2N and 10 G2N ...

This is consistent with the info I was given that there was only 1 Mega xducer ...

You can put any transducer you want on the jackplate, but you won't get on-plane depth/2D. You will need a 2D transom mounted or shoot-thru transducer for that. OR another unit instead.

Nothing wrong with it. You cannot defy the Laws of Physics. You want Mega performance?, then some things you have to accept unless you have an 80 foot ship and are happy to tow a 4 foot array.

The mount looks like a Lowrance.

Definitely looks like a prototype and Wayne, I agree with you on the mount.

Been a lot of transducers put on the back of that boat.

yes, that is the MEGA transducer.

it's a prototype used by Dr. Jason Halfen / The Technological Angler...thus the heavy use of the transducer board. but based on the video (link below) i assume it's the same as the what the production model looks like.

    https://www.facebook.com/TheTechnolo...ngler/?fref=ts

in this promo video he specifically mentions the all-metal transducer mount as a feature; it's Humminbird, not Lowrance.
i wonder if the direction is reversible like on the Lowrance transducers? his mount position gets the wire out past the transom step, but a different location might lend itself to mounting with the wire tight to the transom - only possible if the direction is reversible.

Can someone explain to me the difference between "The amazing quality" helix 10 si gps and the regular helix 10 si gps besides the obvious price difference? I've tried to find any differences in specs and features and haven't had any luck. Are you really paying more for the term "The Amazing Quality"?
