What kind of speeds are you all seeing with a 60hp Mercury four stroke.

As stated, mid 30's. And I'd get the 75hp because everything about that motor is better. If this boat will mainly be on smaller lakes less than a few thousand acres the 60 will be fine if that's all that fits the budget.

If bought new it will come with a 17p Black Max prop. My suggestion is to get a Powertech nrs3 17p for it. Will turn that boat into a little hotrod. Not a fast hotrod but still fun to drive. A 4" jack plate is also a good upgrade and will make the boat ride a lot higher in the water and give the ability to dial out the porpoise at higher speeds. 40-42 will be very doable with one person.

I have a 2012 175 pro team with 60hp merc bigfoot 4 stroke. 3 batteries in back, 2 group 27 and one for cranking, Full tank of gas and lots of gear around 50-55kmh (30-35mph)on average depending on wind chop etc. its decent but it sure isnt my triton.

Sorry for the late response Im just seeing your message. I have the TF as well. Its not easy to get them in and not ideal but it works. I will send some pictures of the batteries I am running however my boat is still shrink wrapped for another few weeks. When I get it unwrapped and put the batteries back I can take more pictures. I have them all on the passenger side of the boat. Starting battery tight to the transom followed by the 2 group 27s all sideways. Has to be in that order so they will fit. I also fabbed up a couple extra leads around 2ft or so long with ring connectors for the starting battery. This is in case the starting battery takes a shit on the water I can use those leads and take a jump start off of one of the 27s to start the motor and make it back to shore.

I tried for about a hour yesterday to squeeze them in and it just won't fit in mine. Gonna put one of the batteries in my storage behind the passenger seat. Now I just need to find me a trolling motor.

I'm moving mine to behind the seats as well. Its so bloody tight there's no room for the onboard charger. Hopefully get it done this weekend. There's some hole drilling involved and a bit of wire routing. Just using battery boxes with hold downs for now. I will post some pictures when I am done
