    Rod Storage

I have a 2016 17 sportsman that I removed the plastic rod dividers out of the rod box. I put rod socks on all my rods and can now store way more than I could with the dividers in there. It had 3 Phillips screws in the back one and 2 screws in the front one. They came out easily.

I have been thinking about doing the exact same thing to mine as my rod & reel collection grows.

Anything with a treble hook on it I hook it to the top of the reel instead of the eye of the rod.

Im looking at the 2017 17 PFX. The only thing I don't like about the boat is the tiny rod box.
How many rods were you able to put in there after taking out the dividers? What length rods?

Rod box is the only thing I hate in this boat. I call it "Scooby Doo rod box"...
you can forget about storing rods that are longer than 6'6"

I have 9 in it right now with room for a couple more. I have several 7' rods in it.
