I'd like to know what rods he was using. That spinnerbait rod in the photo gallery looked wild.
Interesting. I’d try it.

I saw something like that or maybe that was the lure on a Japan sellers eBay list of items a couple weeks back. Thought it was just a gimic.
There was a wacky style worm that came out probably 30 years ago that was very similar, it was “T” shaped. Can’t remember who produced it, but something in my memory says that a guy named Cody Bird had his name affiliated with it. Think he was from Texas.
Those are Norrie's Road Runner Rods:https://www.nories.com/eng/bass/rods.../original.html
With some superglue and some plastic worms a guy might be able to make one. One made out of Elaztech would be an interesting bait.

Both tail ends have pocket to insert glass rattles. Great crawfish imitating sounds and action.
The best part of this bait is you can use any size Texas style weight. Ex. 1-once heavy weight to punch thick grass mat.
I still have some that Toledo Tackle made, never did catch much on them. They made them to be really weedless.
Kicker fish company made one of those wacky style T worms... pretty sure I have a pack laying around somewhere.. never used them, problably never will..
I'm sure it will catch many fisherman
