Google Eartly / Sateliete Image Overlay? How To?

I have heard about this before and Zach Birge mentioned doing this after his MLF win at Eufaula. How do you put a satellite image in your Lowrance? See Below?

Navionics Platinum Plus cards have it built in. IIRC select land&water in view menu

Birge might have mirrored his phone or tablet to his HDS unit while viewing GE.

I didn’t know navionics had low water google earth images loaded in? In navionics can you select which year of satellite image you want to overlay? Because each lake has different dates for when the lake was low

No. Neither is the imagery high resolution in either Navionics, Lakemaster or Garmin mapping.

Ok I should have known that. Thanks. How do you mirror a phone or tablet image to a lowrance unit?

I’m guessing it might be a variation of this:

There are some trick things you can do with overlays on the HDS units.
