    818

Has anyone on this forum purchased the new 818? If so what motor and horsepower are you running?
Also what are your impressions so far.

    Thank you, in advance

running the more narrow 618 with a 150 pro xs. Top end is about 61. I would think the 818 would come standard with 175 and should run closer to 65. the bird boats are basically all laid out the same so this is a matter of desired speed and cost not layout.

ride of my little 618 is great and I doubt the 818 is any different. The extra 5 inches or so on the front deck should be nice. I came from a bit bigger ranger but don't feel downsized. I needed and continue to value the single axle. I have upgraded my tires to Load D.

Crazy question, but has the 618 been replaced by the 818? The Phoenix website still lists the 618, but I can't find any on the web, even boattrader.com only has 3 listings and they are all used boats.

I don't know for sure but when they announced the 818 I assumed it was RIP for the 618. seems to make no sense to have both.

I would think my local dealer (Weidas) would too. This should be a hot series. Many of us have smaller garages or need to jackknife the boat multiple times to garage it.

However, I do have a complaint about my 618. after 5 years the amount of property tax I pay on it is silly. apparently NADA does not depreciate them rapidly
