    Trailer jack question.

My Stratos trailer has a Fulton 1000 lb jack.
Its about done and I want to replace it. It has one bolt in the center and i want a bolt on replacement.
Anyone here have experience with these ? Which one to replace it with? If I go with like 1200 lb will it crank easier?
This one wears me out. I've tried cleaning and re greasing but no better.

I've saved some money by taking it apart, and lubing the threaded shaft. Made a world of difference. All a trailer jack is, is basically a threaded rod that goes thru a nut, with the cranking mechanism.

    1000lb should be plenty.

thank man. I ended up ordering a 1200lb but I see what your saying and that's probably all I needed to do.

I literally went from 2 ha ding the jack to get it to move up or down, to 3 fingers after I greased up the threaded rod. Hope the new one works out for you!

This is what I've done to mine.
Got this tip from another member.
I drilled a 1/4" hole and apply white lithium grease from a spray can.

Looks like you got the right one. I replaced mine several years ago with the 1200 like this. mounted just as the original which is just like yours.

Don't feel bad about ordering it. I took my old one completely apart, cleaned it up, regreased and it still didn't work, the gears were stripped. I did see amazon has a gear kit for them. Amazon.com: Fulton 0933306S00 Bevel Gear Kit; For 1200 lb Jacks : Automotive

I took it apart last night and you guys are right the threaded shaft was dry after a good lubing its way better. The new one should be here today so that was just for experimentation.

I went with the Fulton F-2 clamp on and used a mounting block with it. Best and easiest jack ever !!!
