2011 zx250, hpdi 250, both tanks half full, 2 persons and 1 76 lbs. lab, 2 powerpole signature series, 74 mph gps at 6000 rpm
2012 ZX190DC HPDI 175, half gas, 2 persons, empty livewells, 4" below pad, managed 64 mph gps once at 5400 rpms, mostly runs 62 mph at 5200 RPMs. Raised it up another 3/4" so let's see what happens. Still haven't put the 10 hrs on yet so can't run fast too much.

Boat: 96 Skeeter ZX 180
Motor: 96 Mercury 175 EFI
Jack Plate: Slidemaster Manual
Prop: Mercury Tempest Plus 25 pitch 3 1/4 inches below pad (will raise it once I get the water pressure gauge fixed)
Weather: 77 degrees with 10-15 mph wind mild chop
Load: Me, my son and his friend, full load of gear
Plane Speed: 23 MPH
Top Speed: 61 MPH still had a little throttle and trim left, backed out of it due to traffic and water conditions. Just installed this prop and removed the PVS plugs, can't believe the difference it made over the 25 pitch 4 blade that I had on there.

Are ya kiddin'? chine walk is an understatement. It'll dive off from side to side so violently that you cannot shut it down fast enough. You just gotta keep trying to learn to drive it. Even then, you cannot stop it. You can reduce it, and control it. But, it won't stop wiggling completely.
I don't use the boat much any more and when I do, I have to learn to drive it all over again. It's just a completely different feeling than a longer boat.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
I have a 2011 ZX200 with a 200 hpdi series 2, 12" Atlas hydraulic jackplate
Boat came with 25t but i was at the RPM rev-limit (6150) @ WOT 69 mph
So i changed to a 27t My holeshot is great, midrange awesome and top speed 72.7mph
I'm turning 6000 @ WOT in cold weather 69mph in warm weather.

What type of load did you have Babskeeter
I had both tanks at about 3/4 full, with pass. livewell full all my fishing gear etc, by myself but river had 4" to 6" chop.
The guys at work said I couldn't turn a 27 but after a lot of time online I found several post on setups that said if your
current prop performs ok and you just need to adjust RPMs you should change to the exact prop but higher or lower pitch
Every inch of change will reduce/increase about 150/200 RPMs
Was that you BEHIND me the other day on I 10
Finally got mine running right, fuel pickups were both smashed against the bottom of the tanks
Went 79.8mph @ 6,250rpms
normal load 1/2 tanks fuel
worked 25T1
1.5" below pad
This was in a small (800acre total) lake with very limited run area. Can't wait to throw the worked 27 on, head to the river, and see what happens.
