    Organ donor?

I can’t understand why anyone would not want to be an organ donor! I don’t know currently personally anyone needing an organ but I’m sure there is lots of families out there struggling with waiting on a donor!

I’m hoping I have something worth donating when I go. If so, I’ll be thrilled to pass it along.

I’m not, instead we are donating our complete bodies to the medical school my son attended. They handle everything including the cremation. FREE

I've had it designated on my drivers license since I was 16. In the Fire Department/ EMS business around here, that is what they call people who ride motorcycles without helmets.

We both are designated as donors. Just hope there’s something to give to help someone else when we pass.

It's on my driver's license. What possible reason could you have for not being a donor?

I think ER doctors refer to them as " Donor Cycles ".

My D/L had me listed as an organ donor for at least 40 years.

Probably the only parts worth using would be my corneas at my age. Lungs, kidneys, heart ( have had 2 heart attacks ) and other parts may be worn out.

I was a donor on my drivers license. 1999 I was in a terrible high voltage accident. When my wife got to UAB burn center and things weren’t looking good at all. One of the first thing she was ask was I a donor. Said yes and scared her pretty bad. Yes that I may not to make it, but the thought went through her head I was health 36 years old and Dr’s need all the goods off a health male. Burnt bad enough to die so let’s donor him out it’s about $$$$. 3 skin graphs 11 surgery therapy and never giving up and I’m still here. I’m not a donor now but have serious considered adding it back. 60 yrs old still kicking She ask me to remove it and I did.

I do not understand why you feel that your opinion should be the almighty and anyone else is inferior to you.

My wife donated a kidney to a friend last November, I’m very proud of her, she was up from the surgery right away. The person she donated to is doing great. Consider being a living donor.
