    99 187 Elite question

I have a 99 187 Elite with the Detwiler Jackplate. I finally can now adjust this jackplate and have been playing with the height of the engine. I have not measured the prop to pad but have made a few marks and adjusted up a little bit. Went out again today and its running 55ish at about 5100 RPM.
98 `175EFI Merc. 25 Trophy plus. I did lose about 75lbs by switching to Lithium TM batteries. Its still getting 20PSI water pressure at WOT too.

I know the engine can turn 5500-5600 rpm and the boat should run 60-62ish. I previously have had the boat to a max of 64 MPH with the old LA batteries so I know what it will or should do. Is there a baseline Prop to pad that is recommended for this boat and engine? Thanks Brian

25 sounds too big for a 175hp engine. If you aren't teaching max rpm, drop a pitch or 2

    I have a 187 with a 175 EFI. I run 24 Temptest (worked by Croxton) 3 3/4 below pad. 60-62 depending on load and time of year. 58.5 RPM's
