    2014 Optimax pro Xs crank no start.

    My engine is a 2014 optimax pro xs 200hp with 87 hours used. I start my engine one time every month and no problem but last week i tried start, crank no start. I cleaned battery cables, ck fuses (engine and console), ck gas pressure, change filter and no start. With key on the alarm sound one time and go off but when is cranking alarm sound is continuos and no start. I want to buy a CDI Electronics 531-0118M M.E.D.S. Marine Engine Diagnostic System - Mercury (w/o G3), just for get a diagnostic but i dont know if that scanner is the right one for my engine. Just i need help to get my engine run again. Thank you.

    Check for blown fuse on the motor, starboard side near PCM

    I have thought about getting one of those, can you do an oil pump prime with it?

    I have both systems- IMHO, the Diacom is a better "bang for your buck".

    As suggested- check all those basic items. Don't overlook your BATTERY- it might be able to spin the engine over, but if weak it may not be holding contacts closed on the MPR properly.
