58, played since I was a kid. Close but no cigar.

I've played for 40 years. First Ace was on Feb 15, 2007 and second one Apr 13, 2023. Neither course had a clubhouse, so couldn't buy drinks. Made a few eagles, but holed out my second shots on two par 4s on back to back days while vacationing in Scotsdale.
As I always tell anyone willing to listen: I'm obsessed with golf, but love fishing.
Never and doubt it will happen.
The clubhouse misread my scorecard last week and gave me an albatross. My golfing buddies will be kidding me about that one for the rest of the season.

I've never carded one.
My stepbrother got another one on Sunday (his 14th), but he hits the ball pretty well.
Who controls John Gill?
I've had two, holed out from the fariway a couple of times, but my most memorable hole in one story was one I didn't have. Par 3 and I hit it to about a foot and a half, friend's teenage son hits next and one hops his shot right over mine and in the hole. 18" from the hole with my tee shot and mine was only the second best in the foursome. Hole was playing about 175 yards that day, still give that "kid" a hard time about not letting me have the best tee shot! Hahaha!
Played for 20 some years before I had my first. Had two more the same year. First and last were on the same hole 8 iron, 6 iron (different wind). Had one more a few years later. I'm overdue! :)

Amending my 8/1/23 post, I just missed an ace yesterday. My ball mark was 18" in front of the hole and my ball came to rest directly opposite of the hole 4" away. Close, but no cigars...and no free drinks for others.
Had my first one last summer after 52 years of playing. 157 yards uphill, pushed a 7 iron to the right, where I commented,”Well that’s to the right.” Buddies in the group in front of us were watching and saw it kick hard off the hill to the left. They said they both looked at each other with a “That’s going in” look as it rolled across the green. I never saw it as you couldn’t see the hole.
One albatross in 2001, 3 wood, 3 wood. Playing more now that I am retired, certain I will make another hole in one the day the clubhouse is packed!
