Bilge Failure Alarm System?

It seems one of the more common reasons for Boating incidents in big water is a failed bilge pump. I don’t know enough about Bass Boat electronics to know but I wondered if there is a device that exists today (that comes standard or can be installed aftermarket) that acts as an alarm or warning system if the Bilge fails? Not sure if it would make a difference in the broad scheme of things but it might buy you some time to get ashore or call for help rather than swamping or capsizing when it’s too late.

I would think that "most" bass boats are not taking in anywhere near the amount of water that an open (big) water boat would take. Most of the bilge pumps in our boats have auto switches built in.

Yes I am aware of the auto bilge system. But these systems fail from time to time. What I am referring to is an alarm system that indicates when the Bilge fails. IE - Triggers if the bilge is running but water is not passing through the pump hose to exit the boat signalling that the hose has blown off the pump. Or if the float switch is engaged but the pump has not. Both of these factors lead to the boat of someone I fished with to capsize. Marina forgot to put on hose clamps (while charging him $1800 for a "safety check" lol) so the water wasn't being pumped out.

you could make one easy enough, take a float switch (like a add on for a bilge), and instead of hooking it to a pump, hook it to a horn
