    Hopefully my final update on this one, Motor is running great now. The spitting issue was finally realized to be that several bolts holding the top main bearing housing to the block had worked their way out and one had sheared off. This was presumably causing air to get sucked in around the bearing and seal and spitting back out the carb. Learned there was a technical bulletin on the top main bearing bolt issue in the late 90’s where they upgraded the bolts, cleaned the bolt holes really well and used red loctite, so I pulled the bearing cleaned up everything and put it all back together. Thanks to you all for the help and sorry for the long delayed update.

    Bad thing with the red is you may never remove the bolts again. Always use blue.

    That’s a good point, I hope to never remove them again, but you are correct I should’ve used blue just in case.
