    Injector .dat File

My friend is replacing an injector on a '09 250 ETEC.
He was able to get the .dat file, do we need to open the file or just save it and load it up to the EMM?

Get a QR code reader for your smart phone in the app store... Use the QR code reader to convert the QR image on the tag on the injector into formatted coefficient data... Essentially a bunch of numbers and spaces and symbols.. Copy that coefficient data and send it to your personal email. Using your laptop access your email and copy the formatted coefficient data. Go into your EV diag software in your laptop and go into Options then Applications then make sure the checkmark for "Fuel injector data hand scanner is available" is checked.. Click okay... Then go into Diagnositcs... Then Settings... Then fuel injectors... Select the injector you want to replace... Click replace fuel injector... A Box will pop up with a picture of an old school QR scanner like they use at the grocery store. It will have two blank boxes for you to enter your formatted coefficient data into. Paste that data into the box labeled "scan 1"... Wait a few seconds and the software will automatically move the data you pasted into the "scan 2 box" after it does paste the data you already have copied into the "scan 1 box" again. Wait a few seconds for it to take and then you can hit.. "Install scanned data"... It will go through and your all done.. Bobs your auntie... Good luck!
