2002 Ficht omc or Brp

so I have 2002 Ficht 225 Ho and the date reads 2002/1. I originally came to the conclusion that it was a BRP motor but after looking around the motor I found it to have OMC writing on some of the tubing and cable. so could this have been BRP using old stock or is my motor a OMC engine.

Yes it would have been made by BRP but still using many new old stock parts. It took several years to get OMC logos and such, off of tooling. There were a lot of pissed off vendors / and suppliers who had a lot of good inventory stockpiled for OMC.
