Tried the following on my buddies: 24 trophy, 24 tempest, 24 fury4 and 24 bravo xs. Tempest was the fastest, but he liked how the bravo handled the best, so he took that one.
3 blade or 4 blade

What prop and pitch were you running, (that threw a blade?)

I was running a power tech 4 blade not sure on the pitch. I am not worried really about speed I would just like a good hole shot. And I have looked at the prices it has gotten a little crazy
If you liked what you had, order the same thing. Might have to pull it to find the pitch (on the hub).
I didn’t mind the other prop but would like a better hole shot. That’s why I was just wondering what other people may be running
I'm running a Tempest plus 25, 3 blade on my 2003, 196, 200 Opti max and hole shot is great.

Is your 200 the small block or big block?

I run a tempest on my Yamaha , it has a phase kit so I run a 26
When we ran a 24 tempest on my buddies 196, he hit 65mph; but I’m pretty sure his motor is the smaller 2.5L.
With the 24 bravo xs, he runs about 63mph and he prefers everything about the bravo over the tempest. Trophy’s work real good on these hulls, just not very fast.
Haven't really noticed, as I'm not concerned with speed. I usually just run around 50-57 mph never paid attention to RPM's. Getting ready to put a 25 A45 on and will have to check those numbers.

Isn't that what you are running presently, the Tempest Plus 25 A45? I amm running a 4 blade Mercury prop I bought off a buddy years ago. It had been reworked at Phil's Propellers and all the markings are gone. I think it's a 24P Trophy, but I'm not positive. I am running around the same speed as you with rpms around 5600 at WOT.
