    Floor coverings

I have an 02 TRiton 1860SC that needs new carpet. The old carpet is thin with no pile, it was easy to clean with just a water hose. I've looked at several different coverings and can't really find what I like, something with no or very little pile, light and durable. I've looked at some mat style coverings, but they look to be heavy.

I only crappie fish and do that from late October through early March. This boat is used to put out beds and floor gets dirty. Anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks, Justin.

Consider a woven vinyl flooring. Easy to clean like new with water or some simple green if you get a stain. No hooks getting caught in the carpet to fight with. Love it on my tracker. Only negative is it does get hot to the barefoot in the summertime. I fish in sandal's when it's hot so not a deal breaker for me but I've seen complaints about that from the barefoot fishermen.

Vinyl or a Sea Dek material. They will both stain, but they are great utility.

It's very light weight....not enough to make a difference with anything.

I have Seadeck in my current boat. It looks way better than carpet. Carpet is easier to keep looking clean. Seadeck shows dust and footprints much worse than carpet.

Lots of work ahead, but I bet it looks good when it's done.

I have that from the factory in my 9 year old boat. It holds the dirt is my only complaint. I scrub it with Spic N Span on my knees with a floor scrub brush. That lightens it up and it looks new again.

Looks pretty good to me, nice work. I have the vinyl floor on my new G3, and I love it so far. The boat is new though, so definitely a small sample size. I’ll be launching in some muddy areas, so much happier with the vinyl over carpet.
