Love my 2015, keeps coming back for more hard use! Layout is great and for me having more freeboard is a good thing for me, but it does catch more wind than a new z20 because of that freeboard.

I also have a 2015 and my fishing partner has a 2011. Great fishing platform and no issues with either boats. I have a 250 HP and partner has a 200 HP. The 225 fits well with that hull and you won't be disappointed if you pull the trigger?

I bought this boat last year and LOVE it. Trailer is a dual axle and has some issues (fiberglass fenders get loose, easy fix) and brake light plastic attachments are cheap and break all little stuff. I have a 200 XP 2 stroke on mine and man she runs.

I would make sure that the hull doesnt have a hook in it, test it out on water if possible and look at max rpm and speed

I got mine to 65 last summer (loaded) but not a huge lake, might have been able to hit 70 with more runway. Again, mine is a 200 merc 2 stroke ProXS, that 225 is going to RUN!

    My 15 250 get to 72 minimum 70.

also agree that the fenders get loose. Till I bolted them like a caveman.

I just did the same thing, not more rattling around when I trailer it!

I would add if I blow up my motor in the next 10 years I will be repowering the z8. It's been that good to me
