I have the ability to mount one on the door frame for a straight on view or on a side wall for a 90 degree view. False triggers from the street are not an issue for either location.
Anybody have a preference? What are the pros and cons?

I have sidewall view (with the angle mount), but would prefer strait on view, as it would likely pick up movement sooner. It works well enough but I get the movement alerts barely before I get the doorbell alert. I could have mounted it strait on, but didn't do it as i wanted to cover the holes from the old standard doorbell. I figured I could move it, but now I've got even more holes I would have to patch/fill due to drilling to mount the Ring
If you have a ring doorbell and plan on attaching it to brick or mortar, do NOT use the drill bit that comes with it. It's garbage. Use a hammer drill with a good bit!
Looks like there best sales pitch is photographing package stealers this season.
