    2017 Mercury ProXS 250 45 hours

    Would you guys purchase the extended warranty offered by reclending on this motor? Right at $3k for 3 years. Thank you

    no, extended warranties, in general, are money makers for the seller only. Amazing the weasel words in them to avoid ever paying a claim. Just pay attention to the scheduled maintenance, and gas and oil and you'll be fine.

    I hardly ever buy any extended warranties on anything, but….If they are extensions of the OEM warranty on an outboard motor, extending it from 3 to 7 years etc…I will buy those. The last motor I bought new was 2009 200hp and bought extension up to like 10 years or something like that. Only had one warranty repair but was just under 1000 to fix but I still had the piece of mind of having the warranty in case something major happened.
