Leonreno, could it be too small if a battery (750) drawing too many amps when radio/amplifier are on getting the rectifier too hot and burning one side. All connections are and clean and new. I did...

I’ve used both OEM and aftermarket (Napa brand). They seem to do fine for a time or two and then start to spike again.

Yes, that's what I figured....I though moving down n diameter would give you less blade in the water etc....But I know the routine and we'll play with it....

Im' going from 3 blade 14.25" prop to a 13.5 4 blade on a 6" jackplate, manual. Should I drop it to make up for the less blade length in the water?
