After all the trouble shooting I did, I took it to the shop and you my friend are correct, it is the dampner/balancer.... very tin to tin sound. Just got the call and it will be done Friday.

Front plastic cover that goes over your intake. Same thing happened to me that's where I found it. Good luck

Mount it to your motor mount. Find a spot that you can get clearance under the mount and install on the side. Works great...

I just drilled three holes in bottom of jackplate and then put two rubber bumpers on the end of the transducer for vibrations and it works flawless. Can send pics in two week if you want. On vacation...
